Why Amaltea

According to Greek mythology, Amaltea was Zeus’ foster mother.
Amaltea represents nourishing traits, also associated with the Cornucopia, a symbol of abundance, overflowing with grains and fruits.

Amaltea Agro

We are a team of consultants focused on project evaluation and business model design and optimization for firms operating in the agribusiness sector.
Based in Argentina, we developed a regional projection in South America.

Our goal is to add value by leveraging the ideas and the entrepreneurial drive of our clients.

Like the mythologic Amaltea, we enjoyed the privilege of being regarded as trusted advisors during their initial stages of expansion by several of the outstanding entrepreneurs who played and continue to play a leading role in the development of the agribusiness sectors of Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia and Paraguay. We feel proud of having been able to contribute to a certain extent to their success.

Alejandro Bustamante

Amaltea Agro was founded in 1999 by Alejandro Bustamante.

Based on his background as an agronomist, agricultural economist, and professor, and leveraged by a professional career spread over more than 35 years as an adviser, manager and director of agribusiness firms with activities in several countries of South America; Alejandro articulates a knowledge network involving recognized professionals with expertise in several agribusiness value chains.
